TRANSCRIPTION
Transcription involves listening to a recording and typing the contents up into a document, which is then returned to the client, giving them a written record of what’s on the recording.
Transcriptions usually are done for interviews and studies to keep documentation of what occurred during the recording.
CLOSED CAPTIONING
Closed Captioning is an assisted technology designed to provide access to audible content for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Unlike subtitles, however, closed captioning is hidden as encoded data transmitted within the video signal, and provides information about background noise and sound effects.
